Network registration process for 4g

,

We are using the Telit ME310G1-W1 modem and are planning to switch to the 4G network registration process. Previously, we used a 2-second delay between each AT+CEREG? query. However, after referring to the Telit 2G/3G/4G Registration Process R3 document, we found that it recommends a 5-second delay.

Additionally, the document suggests a flow where, if AT+CEREG? returns 0,3 or 4, the modem should be put into airplane mode and then reattempt registration.

Would this approach be suitable for our project, or do you recommend a different process?

Hello and welcome,

ME310G1-W1 is CATM1/CAT-NB only, so no 2G.
I’m looking on R4 version which I found in DZ. The document is probably not a must but a recommendation prepared by the Telit engineers. So I would advise to follow it.
As I see the airplane mode is the last step if forcing automatic network registration for a certain amount of times did not help. And it is a good hint for some problematic cases to switch off and on the radio interface with CFUN.

Best regards,
