Data Transfer Methods

This tutorial covers various aspects of sending data on Telit-Cinterion IoT cellular modules.

Micro controllers: Internet Services (Packetized and Transparent) based on AT Commands
Complex OSs: Windows, Linux - USB pppd, CDC-ECM, MBIM, QMI/RmNet are all covered in detail.

Hints: When it doesn’t work - guidelines for dealing with 4G/3G/2G data connectivity and roaming issues also included.

So these methods only work for UART interface, don’t they?

AT Command based “Internet Services” work on UART ASC0 and USB /dev/ttyACM0
pppd dial-up works on UART ASC0 and USB /dev/ttyACM0
cdc-ecm works only on USB
MBIM works only on USB
QMI/RmNet works only on USB
